Funding Opportunities

SAMS (The Society for the Advancement of Management Studies) invites applications twice yearly in January and July for funding to support events or activities that benefit the management studies community in general. Priority will be given to proposals that contribute to the development of doctoral students and/or early career academics. There is no application form but proposals should include the details below, making clear how the SAMS funds will be used and how they will result in demonstrable additional benefits to the management studies community. SAMS normally expects to part-fund activities (i.e. there should be other sources of support) to a maximum of £10,000. Please note that these funds are for workshops and events, not to fund research projects, individual pieces of research or staff costs. The deadline for the latest round of applications is 11th January 2012. Proposals received after the closing date cannot be considered until the July round.
